Surprised to see some of the presenters- albeit only the sports ones- wearing a Black Lives Matter badge on air. Whilst everyone decent signs-up to being anti-racist, BLM is just one of many campaigns and has a specific agenda beyond race (eg. anti-capitalism and anti-police), which Sky would be therefore endorsing.

Fairly sure you’re reading too much into it.

I don’t think so. It’s not like wearing a poppy. You wouldn’t expect to see a presenter wearing a Greenpeace badge for example. I’m surprised given Sky’s clampdown on its staff’s social media that it’s bosses haven’t made a ruling on this. The Guardian reported last week how Fran Unsworth has urged BBC staff to be very careful about this sort of thing.

I think the badge is more of a representation of the movement rather than the specific organisation - I think most people in the UK don’t even known that it’s an organisation!

Also, this is a Sky Sports editorial decision, not a Sky News one. The social media ruling only applied to News staff, not Sports.

Really impressed by Kimberley Leonard's coverage so far of the latest on the Reading stabbing incident. She's developed into a quite brilliant presenter over the years.

Yes, there was a time when I'd have to switch off when she was on as her delivery grated, but in the last 18 months or so has found her feet.

Seems to have been a few issues at the top of the midnight hour. First headline strap appeared on screen but they went straight into a report on the Reading terror attack without any headlines or presenter appearing.

Not sure if anyone can share a screengrab from the youtube stream but they seem to be using a new DTL location from Westminster at least since lunchtime (didn't see this morning). Rather than being sat at the old studio desk, they are now sat infront of a blue lit background with a light tube to the left and some kind of rig to the right. A sign of more changes to come soon??

A prime example of the producer not talking to the text producer, the director or the talent...
