To be totally pedantic, you will notice that SNU's posts are still full of phrases such as "...
IF
they decide not to move... "
whereas Bruce is confidently asserting that the move will definitely be AFTER the Gen Election.
I agree totally with Bruce. The move to their new studios will be AFTER the gen election. Trust me.

From what I gather from the very FEW times this question has been asked, some time BEFORE the election next year. Definitely.

Don't think this has been mentioned before (and don't shoot me if it has, there's a lot of bitterness in this thread) www.skypublicity.co.uk has had a rather nice overhaul.
Brings it in line with the new-look Sky, and wouldn't surprise me if we were to see a simlar template applied to the existing Sky News website fairly soon. The current Sky News website has had that design since 2001.
Also a new website www.skynewstranscripts.co.uk, or something similar.
Nice effort.

DID you think you were being amusing?
It is AFTER the election.

I think someone told me it would be January. I've not heard any different anyway.
I appreciate that some striong views have been expressed on the subject of when Sky will unveil their new set, but can I add something in the spirit of furthering the debate, rather than in an attempt to be controversial? There was a suggestion recently that Sky News plan to begin using their new set not before the election or after it, but that they'll actually unveil it for their election night programme. That would make some sense from a presentation point of view - to use the new set for a big programme like that.

You know what, they probably haven't even got a date themselves for a launch, so it is pretty pointless trying to guess it.
People on here were initially saying 'the priority is to get Five News launched from the complex' and that Sky News would follow in February or so... then it has been upped to post-May-election. I think May is the absolute latest they would leave it, because then you are heading into Whit Recess for Parliament and then another month and the summer recess, and no real news.
As ever with Sky, it is going to be wait and see. As genuine as people on here might sound, we have had some absolute bullsh!t from members that sounded incredibly convincing at the time and turned out to be random gossip.
