Sky/CNN/ITN Newsreader Alison Bell Arrested

since the previous thread on this subject was closed for some reason, i thought i'd continue the discussion.

what i'd like to know is if alison had been scheduled to appear on any news channel or radio programme within the next few days, and if so, has she been suspended/replaced or will she appear as normal until any charges (if any) are made?

Whilst noting that she has not been charged - and therefore obviously not convicted - and so is 100 per cent innocent (at the moment) I think it is interesting that none of the newsrooms where she has worked were surprised when the news broke.

Now that was a sentence not to be 'sniffed at' if ever there was one.

They're all at it in the media. I'm sure you will all remember the fiasco about another Sky News presenter on this forum a year ago. I touched a raw nerve there, and I wouldn't be surprised if a few more newsreaders' names came out of the woodwork.

Apparently she was filling in on LBC's early news this week.

She hasn't been removed from their schedule pages though, funnily enough.

seeing as she was inside a police cell from 1030pm Wednesday night until about 3pm Thursday, it would have been pretty difficult to have turned up at LBC!!!!!
I don't rate her as a TV presenter - silly twitchy eyebrows, no chin, obviously in love with herself (and now in love with a tw.atty, self-obsessed, ginger Royal hanger-on).
Can't wait to get the tabloids in the morning.

There's no allegation that she IS high on drugs or that she's ever taken drugs. It's stupid comments like that which cause a great deal of trouble, and why the first thread was closed I'd imagine.

So think before writing stuff like that for God's sake.

It's not a case of me being satisfied, it's a case of you spouting potentially libelous accusations without knowing anything about the case. Even if she were to be convicted of selling drugs, it doesn't make her a drugtaker - and that's just one possible inaccuracy.

I notice on the Sky News website this morning (Fri) she is refered to as 'former Sky News presenter', and the picture of her is a screengrab of her on screen at CNNI!
