When News at Ten was axed the first time round, he moved to the Evening News at 6.30. But he never gave up newsreading.

With this conformation that the set is being re-launched for the new look it may seem that the sport may be presented from a seating area. (if you didn't know the set is being kept but being shuffled around - most probaly for breakfast on the NC so i'm thinking the walkway may be carpeted and widend at the ends to fit maybe a small coffee table ala sky)
Yes, that all seems likely. The whole set is being changed just for the breakfast show on the News Channel.

I would be surprised if the ITV News Channel features in any of the plans for the network rebranding, considering it may not exist by spring next year.
