Didn't someone hint that the studio currently used for Breakfast might be utilised less in future?
In which case might not the new-look Breakfast come from the N24 studio seven days a week?
I did wonder that myself - can an insider clarify this?
I think it's one of the options being looked at. Along with doing the One from News24. BBC News has to cut 15% of its budget over the next few years and it costs a hell of a lot to staff the Breakfast studio.

Thanks, Marcus. I can't be sure, but most of the rest of the thread seems to be based on speculation and rumour without any sources or insiders. At least we know you're reliable.
I must admit - though I have said before that I like the idea of having fixed presenters so that you know who's on when - I think this makes sense and I may like it.
It gets rid of the problem of 'News 24 faces' no being known to the analogue audience so that if major news breaks, News 24 just goes on BBC One with no change of personnel required.
I also like the idea of using News 24 more on BBC One as the station had definitely now grown up and has some clout.
Still concerned about how breaking news will be covered during simulcasts though.
I'd have like to have seen Jules Botfield on Breakfast and what's happened to Louise Minchin (used to present N24 with Jon Sopel before Kate Silverton)?
Actually Breakfast might be from the N24 studio as in the week between Christmas and New Year (Mon 27th - Fri 31st) 2004, Breakfast was presented from N24 whereas the year before 2003, Breakfast was presented from the normal studio.
Hope the set doesn't change - I know I didn't like the current Breakfast set compared to the old one, but you need an open space in the morning, not behind the desk, and besides it has to be good - GMTV copied it.

No - GMTV always had a sofa. I t then became the trend for news shows to create less of a block between viewers and presenters - therefore desks were removed and replaced by a sofa.
And no i don't beleive morning shows have to be on a sofa - BBC Brekakfast wasn't for years.
Thanks for correcting me.
If Breakfast moves to the N24 studio then will it bring in the Breakfast sofas on top of the red carpet in the section to the right of the presenters (normally where the sport and interviews on the main stories are held) like it did this week on Wednesday?
