Don't know. No-one could tell me about either Anna or George.

I personally like Anna - I think she is a good newscaster in the real sense. I can only imagine that George will move onto News 24 or BBC World.

It seems that he hasn't really been suh a big hit with the UK viewing public. I find that hard to believe. He's far better than Huw. I would rather have George on the Ten.

George seems to suit solo presentation.

I'll disagree with you on Anna - never was my cuppa, but I will agree with you on George - on the Six he was, well crap, but on the Ten he was much better than Huw.

Is this new rota taking place in the new year?

Yes, I think Anna's good too. It will be a shame when/if she leaves BBC News.

I believe George may be a relief on newsnight and other that that be the Special Correspondant for the 10 (just like the good old days)

I wouldn't mind the One O' Clock News / The World At One simulcast being double-headed when these changes come in. It feels like the most stale bulletin to me, although that may just be Anna Ford - Jane Hill is a vast improvement imho.

More info : I believe 12 places are to be offered on the rota, there will be 8 senior presenters (who are mainly on BBC1 with special reports, reading, but with one or two shifts on 24 in the week and 4 who mainly do shifts on news 24. (from inside source)

This is purely speculation, based on who BBC WORLD believes will be in the rota (with a few likely additions), but it seems that they could be given roles as follows:

Seniors (BBC1 only)
Jane Hill
Matthew Amroliwala
Liz Pike
Darren Jordon
Phillip Hayton
Fiona Bruce
Dermot Murnaghan
Natasha Kaplinsky

Those also on 24:

Peter Sissons
Simon McCoy
Maxine Mawhinney (on freelance basis)
Chris Eakin

So, when are these changes to occur?

Chris Eakin will not appear on BBC1 News.

I like the idea of a pool of different presenters to anchor the One and the Six, as well as the weekend bulletins. For the fixed presenters on the Ten, I would have liked to have seen Darren Jordon as one of the main anchors, he did the Ten again on Friday night, and he is a very good presenter. I think if the Ten will have fixed presenters, it should also have its own individual look, not necessarily its own studio, but different titles, graphics etc.
