Do you think it will be a matter of time until she makes it on to Reporting Scotland? Oh the competition between her and Jackie!
She might move away from daily news broadcasts and take up more of a current affairs role. I could see her get involved in Frontline or a weekly programme? I think Jackie Bird will be with Reporting Scotland for a long time yet.
I am delighted she is staying with journalism though. Sadly, I will miss her though - working during the day.
I will too , thought we do have the radio on in the office . The bad news is that it's always on Forth One! I'd rather hear the voice of Shereen (even Kingdom FM) than Forth One any day!

Well, there's always podcasts of the shows. If they don't have one already, you can assume they will have in the next 12 months or so. I'm absolutely delighted Shereen is staying with Scottish broadcasting. It's a bit like having a member of the family on air.
Laura, your posts are full of energy and show a lot of thought. I enjoy reading your messages, but you really don't have to punctuate them with all those emoticons. If anything, they are a little distracting.
Glad to hear this. One thing that I think is clear is that Shereen now has a bit of money behind her and has decided that the STV thing can give her some time to herself. I would imagine it's only a matter of time before she moves on to RPS. However, I wouldn't imagine that Jackie or anyone else will be worried as it'll probably only be on a part-time basis (like Sally Magnusson) In fact, it makes a whole lot of sense for Shereen to present RPS on Fridays as she'll come off air late afternoon giving her plenty of time to prepare for TV.

But, didn't Shereen say she wanted to move away from live TV?
Yeah. She said she wanted to try something new but if she accepts Fridays on RPS it will be something quite different. Remember, she'll only be doing one show a week so it'll be a lot different to doing around 4 shows a week on STV. Basically, it's the buzz and fun of doing TV without having to work full time! It would also allow Jackie or David to have the Friday off. To be honest, if I was in charge at BBC Scot. I would use this as an opportunity to consider giving Friday's RPS a different style. Give it a one presenter format with a stronger emphasis on a look ahead to the weekend sport. Now THAT would work.

I would rethink the whole Rep. Scot. output if I was in charge. With SMG new shows vulnerable - this is a great opportunity to monopolise on this misfortune.
Perhaps they should have a double headed show with David being given a couple of days off during the week? David and Shereen and Jackie and Sally - or something like that.
If Shereen did come aboard Rep. Scot. (which I doubt will happen; as GarryMc has pointed out) she would not be given the same bite of the cherry as Jackie though! Remember the hooha with Anne - when she and Jackie shared the rota. I just hope that Shereen steers clear of other presenter's jackets though!!
