Quite possibly, but I hope that doesn't mean less Sue Herera. A shame she never anchors any full length programmes any more (as far as I'm aware at least).

Sue Herera is great. I also like the pairing of Wilfred Frost and Sara Eisen for the Closing Bell. What they need to do is tone down Jim Cramer. That guy is awful and has no place anchoring Squawk on the Street. He always pretends like he predicted something the day after it happened. I think there have been studies done before showing that your portfolio would significantly underperform compared to the S&P if you listened to his advice. His takes on health policy right now are even worse.

CNBC is perhaps the first news channel I remember "watching." As a kid, I remember my dad coming home on his lunch break, turning on CNBC, and checking his stocks by thumbing through the touchtone phone with lightning speed while eating an orange. The graphics then were relatively simple compared to now, but even then I found it mesmerizing, especially the double blue and white ticker (which still stands today.) Apparently he thought CNNfn was better back then, but CNBC's presentation really sticks out in my mind.

So, according to CNBC.com, it looks like that Shepard Smith's new show will not be airing on CNBC UK, at least from the initial launch this coming Wednesday. The Virgin Media EPG also says the same, not even the Friday edition is airing. Interestingly though, the Virgin Media EPG for next Monday from 0600 onwards just says "To Be Announced", so there may still be changes incoming, but we will see.

Luckily I have access to CNBC US, so will be watching on Wednesday.

CNBC Europe have never tended to broadcast CNBC US’ evening line up though, have they? CNBC Asia programmes were always preferred overnight. Although I do distantly recall seeing The News with Brian Williams at some point during its run.

Some interesting GCI images of the set in this article from The Hollywood Reporter. I wonder how closely it will match the finished product? Desk looks a little petite.

I can't see CNBC UK/Europe removing the Asian business programming for a news show. CNBC viewers already have NBC Nightly News at 11.30pm.

Cute little moment this morning on NBC Today with Hoda and Shep when they were crosstown rivals in FL

A few screengrabs, certainly not quite the grand studio shown above appearing tonight - but may be they are running on reduced Covid staffing and crews? Looks pretty good though, nice to see a straight no-nonsense news bulletin.

I am so happy to see Shep again. He said they will be moving to his new set soon. The only thing I don't like are the graphics, they look cheap and don't look like anything NBC would do. That huge CNBC logo and lower thirds are kinda ugly.

That's the normal CNBC HQ studio. A very similar setup is used for The Exchange with Kelly Evans midday. The desk might be different, but everything else was already there.

When I saw those graphics I was frankly surprised they werent very NBC. The lower third is very simple. Its clearly set up for multiple lines of text. Thats why is so wide. So they clearly arent using any dynamic graphics it seems. I was kinda disappointed. I was hoping for something more subtle. Lookss really cobbled together. You only blame so much on COVID. WGN was able to create NewsNation,so you can't really use that as an excuse.

Additionally, because of the horrific "presidential" debate, apparently the broadcast, as Shep explained, wasnt their typical format. So it remains to be seen what the look and feel of the show will be. I was looking forward to something more like PBS Newshour or CBC The National.
