Shannon Matthews Coverage

I'm not sure who broke the news first that Shannon had been found alive, but Sky News seem to be ahead of the game by having a reporter and camera crew outside the family home.

BBC N24 are showing the old CCTV footage from the school on the day of her disappearance. Although they've done a telephone interview with a neighbour of the man arrested.

I know from the ITV News thread that they broadcast a special report at 2:45, but have there been flashes on any of the other main channels?

News 24 originally reported that Shannon was found in her grandparents house under the bed.

Now the "latest" is that she's been found in a man's flat IN the base of the bed.

Good to get the McCanns thoughts on the situation. Very helpful and not at all media whorish

The police statement was that she was found in the drawer underneath a divan bed. The inference is that she had climbed in there of her own accord, which sheds a very disturbing and unusual light on the abduction or her state of mind after 3 weeks away from home.

I was going to say I was pleasantly surprised they hadn't turned up on Sky News - but it was obviously too good to be true.

What I'd like to know is why The Sun offered a £20,000 reward to find Shannon in comparison to a £500,000 reward for Madeline?

Kay was on air until 7 and now Steve Dixon is on with Andrew.

I think this is a bit too much, a whole day of non stop coverage. Can you imagine what would happen if they found Madeleine.
