I guess I was the only one who actually bothered to record the launch on Thursday. It's uploading to LiveVideo right now. I don't have a TV Capture Card, so you'll have to make do with a camcorder.
What format is SSN in on the SSN channel 16:9 or 4:3?, Setanta 1 on DTT's simulcast has a 4:3 picture being transmitted within a 16:9 frame. So a Pillarboxed Widescreen set up 4:3 receiver has the content surrounded on all sides by Black. It has to be zoomed to fit.
Setanta Sports News is no rival to Sky on Saturday afternoon, no reports from any games, they have Martin Keon in the studio but he's not watching any action, just talking about scores as they come in.
It's poor to be honest, no energy and all a bit flat.

Did Setanta 1 do their own thing from the ground of the evening game or did they simulcast Setanta News instead?
At one point after 5pm, Setanta Sports News seemed to be simulcasting a bit of Setanta 1 - I saw Angus Scott link into the classified results. Not sure how long they did this for, though - or why.

Yes Setanta Sports News simucast the Angus Scott programme from Villa Park from 4pm onwards. Not sure what happened near kick off when they went to the live match.
Andy Kerr (ex ITV Tyne Tees Sports presenter) is currently presenting.
Now that Andy Kerr has left with Chris Ford, we will no doubt see him aswell. I'm not suprised their is job vacancies for a sports reporter, there is only 2 left now. They are using the reporter Kenny Toal! ITV Jobs If anyone wants to apply..
Was walking down Gray's Inn Road this evening. You can see quite a bit of the SSN newsroom from the street, though there's a bit black curtain in front of the actual studio.
Of course, you used to be able to see the original Five News newsroom-cum-set in the same location 10 years ago.

Indeed so, I remember when they used to sit down on
5 News Early
you would often see cars driving past, although they had blinds to obstruct the view.
I flipped onto Setanta earlier and it's still got a way to go, Sky Sports News just seems better, it has more confidence and far less Umming are Errring.
