I really am getting annoye by their stings and jingles, and their screen is too cluttered, this will not beat Sky Sports News, the only good thing about Sentanta is their set. Their presenters look cheap, and unprofessional, stumbling over their lines constantly. That man is not even wearing a tie!
I've been watching for twenty minutes, and I'm already really, really sick of their jingle/sting.
The same jingle/sting is used on all Setanta channels, I do quite like it when it's used at the breaks, but I agree they should use something different for Setanta Sports News.
Other than that it's not been too bad so far, graphics are a little cluttered, otherwise give it time it could be a good rival for Sky Sports News.
I still don't see the need, either on Sky or Setanta, to constantly be displaying league tables. Football fans will know where their teams are in the league, so what is the point? The only time you need to show them is when some matches have been played. In addition to that we have two tickets along the bottom of the screen and an oversized one at the top, plus the logo and the clock/web address flipping over for no particular reason.
Go back to a single ticker, plus a breaking one when you've a genuine breaking story, and show the main image full width and height.
I can see why that sting will get annoying after a while.
What I've actually done is got rid of the inset picture on my computer monitor, and am just listening to the sound.
