Interesting - TWI/IMG were in the running for this for quite a while - but I suspect the reality of running a 24 hour a day newsroom (even for sports news) and production operation meant that it was much easier for ITN to jump in, especially at short notice.
They have the facilities and infrastructure, and the expertise of running 24 hour operations from the ITN/ITV News Channel days.
Does STV still control the hiring out of the Equipment?
Of what equipment?
Could be the poster is referring to Setanta Sports presentation studios - which are at STVs HQ I believe? They may be confused and not realise that this thread is about Setanta Sports NEWS - a channel ITN are going to run for Setanta (after the original deal fell through)
There's now just a week to go until Setanta Sports News launches. Very little clues seem to have been given away on studio, titles, presenters, etc. There's a promo on setanta.com but that's about it! Does anyone have anything yet?

I've heard on the grapevine there will be an outpost in Manchester for reporters, does anyone know more about this?
