Pretty poor.

And yes, they seemed to be having some problems when they cut to the OB - nice SDI green for a second or two, then what appeared to be some sync errors in the opening sequence.

STV are aware of the troubles and are trying to fix it.

I couldn't wait any longer - I've added STV onto the Other Channels on our spare Sky box in the other room.

Diabolical picture quality of a clip on the BBC News Channel just now, I fired up my sat box and it only looked marginally better on direct reception of STV (SD). The BBC's pictures had thin vertical blue bars left and right. WTF ?

If this was being broadcast in England/Wales/NI and this fault was on the BBC, the Yes campaign would probably cry conspiracy...

Can anyone confirm if it's being shown in true HD on STV HD? From the sound of that it looks like it isn't.

True HD from my end.. (DSat)

BTW, how did ITV Border (Scotland) join the programme? STV HD played the ident to full until we had a hold.

It looks rather hot there judging by the shots of the audience. I hope no one faints

I actually hope someone DOES faint. It would be great.

I'm also watching on DSat (by adding STV HD as an extra channel). The picture/sound quality seems OK to me too.

The had a bit of a sloppy start, with an extended ident and then crashing into the titles.

The debate seems very lively and enjoyable. I'm surprised this isn't being shown on BBC Parliament or one of the news channels.

HD on DSat. Just at the end of the first break bumper a frame or two of down and up converted SD leaked through (I guess STV HD is an automatic opt-in/opt-out of the SD master feed as BBC One HD was originally?)

I'm guessing STV consider it their broadcast - no idea if they will have offered it to other channels? (Bit like the BBC and ITV leader debates during the General Election campaign)

I assume BBC Parliament are being allowed to show it tomorrow - or have bought it?
