Scottish Election coverage

Yes we didn't start counting results until the following morning so we had two full days of coverage on UTV and BBC1NI by the time all the votes were counted.

BBC Parliament is showing BBC Scotland's coverage from 2300 tonight 03-May-2006 until 0600 04-May-2007.

Using what looks like the 2005 General Election graphics....complete with tower annimation.

I think Scotland's tower may have crashed, seeing as it hasn't updated or animated in quite some time.

Nope, we've just not had any results. Our election is becoming a farce because:

a) There's two different elections, with three different slips, and two different voting systems (STV and X). The punters are confused and have screwed up their votes - result, thousands of spoiled papers.
b) The computerised counting system in many areas has crashed - and could be to blame for a few spoiled votes as well.

So this could take a while.

Oh I know we're not really getting any results, but before it was animating between an overview of the total seats, and the change for each party which seemed to completely stall for quite a while. Looks like it's come back to life though.

What is going on with BBC Scotland's graphics - a lot of them, especially the right-hand panels (but not all of them) look like bad JPEGs. Amateur hour.

The programme ran on until 6.30am due to all the news surrounding the problems. David Robertson is coming on at 8am with a special extended election programme.

Sadly BBC Parliament didn't clear their schedules and faded out of the programme just after 6...

Missed that...so was Breakfast just showen between 6.30 and 8am then? Did David come from the Reporting Scot studio or the election studio?

It was more like 6:15. And they faded in... ungracefully... to Breakfast in the middle of a Hazel Blears interview.

Odd - the half-hour Scottish results show that's on right now is using the Newsnight Scotland captions.
