Scott Chisholm - wasn't he the little kid in the BBC "Small People" advert? Or am I getting my wires crossed? Confused

Yes, he was called Scott Chisholm too...

Hmmm... he looked rather like you, as I recall...

Well, it's likely Scott is going to anchor it alone. Lucy has been doing more and more afternoon shifts and a weekend, so that's probabaly where they are going to move her. I am quite sad Andrew is taking over the weekend mornings, I find him dull compared to John Nicolson's style of presentation. John is an asset to the weekend team, and deserves to keep the slot. However, the arrangement was only temporary AFAIK.

Yes... the guy who had a bit of a bust-up at Sky didn't he?

Yep - a bust up with Chris Mann, I think it was related to Stephanie / Stefanie Callister, who was married to, or going out with, one or t'other of them? Can't quite remember.

I couldn't stand his presentation style - I can't think of anyone more different to Andrew Harvey.

And lo, the ITV News Channel lost its unique selling point.

With Eamonn Holmes currently spouting nonsense all over Sky News Sunrise (although, to his credit, he's nowhere near as bad as I had feared), BBC Breakfast's terrible, sub-regional news lifestyle crap, GMTV's brain-numbing tedium, and Channel 4's lack of effort, the ITV News Channel was the only place to turn for a straight news bulletin.

Harumph.

Personally I think that there's room for both.
If Andrew did 7-10, with John 10-1 (i.e. Alastair's supposed slot).

What I don't understand is why Scott will be returning at 11:45, and why Alastair always finishes at that point anyway. Surely he could just swap studios.

Hopefully this will bring the news channel up a bit, make them start to think more about their output and sort out their schedule.

Oh dear. I wonder what Scott must be thinking now, given that a conference is to be held tomorrow regarding the future of the channel he is due to be moving to; he may not even have the time to get comfortable in Gray's Inn Road, or, if the worst scenario is confirmed, even arrive there!

There is a very kind of funny irony to the whole situation.

i'm sure those issues were dealt with during contract negotiations.

Just seen one. It's basically Scott going into a cafe and ordering a fry-up whilst speaking about the show ("we want your views; you choose the news" etc.).

It's all filmed in Gray's Inn Road - I know that cafe.

Don't tell me - that's the base from which you stalk ITN staff.
