Last night STV streamed a special edition of Scotland Tonight on Youtube. It featured several guests from around the world who took part in the show on Google+.

It was pretty impressive to see them trying something different and tapping in to new technology. The first half of the show was streamed exclusively online with the normal Scotland Tonight on STV 'opting in' to the second half of the streamed show at 11.
I have to say, over the last couple of weeks, STV has really punched above its weight with the Referendum coverage. It's generated a lot of news coverage with its debates - with some people saying it's even damaging democracy because the duel style shows are too robust.
I never thought I'd say this but BBC Scotland needs to take a few lessons!
