......not to mention that fact that the programme was to bring the best newsreader in Scotland's tv history to our screens.........you all know who I am talking about.................LOL.
Gavin is Gavin Scott - one of our most distinguished members and contributor to this particular thread. (Perhaps I should have typed "How are you, Gavin?" as opposed to "How's Gavin?")
With regard to the "best newsreader" ever to appear on our screen - let's just say her name sounds a bit like "screen", if you know what I mean!!
The Real MacKay is also excellent - the Blog and the man himself.
Additionally, I meant viewership %. I am well aware North Tonight's coverage area has a smaller population, but I'm pretty sure it has a higher % share in that region.
However, Shereen is a leg-end - sad that STV let her go, but hey, she works for BBC Scotland now!

I don't like single presentation on Scot Today or RPS. Out of the two i would say that i prefer Scot Today but there is to much sport content on the programme .People are quick to slate RPS but remember it is the ONLY national news programme in Scotland so it has a different agenda .I feel that Scot Today should stick to it's central belt news stories instead of bringing us stories from North Scotland sometimes .

I would say RS wont be a success again until they get ride of the rather cheapo set (kind of national, kind of cheapo red lit walls), and until they have an opt out service...
I'm not quite sure what your point is with the last comment, surely 2002 is better as it is more recent?
And Reporting Scotland's set is hardly cheapo - multiple programmes can be broadcast from there with their own identity (RS, Newsnight Scotland, Politics Show etc) without looking the same. This cannot be said of the Scotland Today set, which will look like a dressed-up Scotland Today set whatever they try to do with it. Additionally, the screens are of much less quality than RS.

Would need to agree, Scotland todays set is used for several programmes...Always been the same and you would think things would get more spacious for them with moving into there new home at Pacific Quay
