More Scandals & Sexual Harrasment at FOXNEWS

Ed Henry was fired July 1 month for Sexual Harassment, Tucker Carlson's head writer resigned July 11 after it was discovered (by rival CNN) he was posting racist, misogynist, homophobic posts to an online forum. The content of some posts found their way into the scripts for Tuckers show. Tucker went on to condemn those those that uncovered this filth in a statment at the end of his show and then went on a scheduled trout "fishing trip" in the middle of the week. (yeah right)
Then just breaking today it was uncovered other FNC hosts are still "allegedly" engaging in sexist behaviour even after the Bill OReilly and Roger Ailes scandals amongst others. Definitely something the water over there.

Be warned these court filings are quite graphic. The filings include pictures of texts from Ed Henry and Hannity on set on the day the incident described took place. Sickos!

Whats laughable in their statement is this "We take all claims of harassment, misconduct and retaliation seriously, promptly investigating them and taking immediate action as needed" . We all know how long Ailes and ORielly were doing their thing and Henry allegedly was engaged in his conduct for a while. So this is hard to believe frankly. What a mess.

Fox News is pretty much done for at this point. This is just another nail in the coffin that is Fox News Channel, and laterly, right wing extremist media in general, as they are struggling for relevance anymore, despite Fox News having the ratings on their side right now. But we all know that viewers can be fickle creatures, and I get the feeling that as these allegations will take down Tucker & Sean, the lack of star names being available to replace them, means that viewers will leave Fox News.

Isn't Fox News the number 1 cable news network? It will take a while before the decline is noticeable and I don't see CNN and MSNBC taking the crown just yet.

Well Rachel Maddow's programme on MSNBC when she had Trump's niece, garnered her biggest audience of over 5 million viewers. Her biggest audience ever. FNC viewers are ridiculously, laughably old and set in their viewing habits. They typically turn the tv on in the morning, its stays on all day. They sit there, stuck in their dog-chewed recliners, stewing in their urine-soaked adult diapers. Reveling in their own personal outrage chamber. Pining for country that hasnt existed since the 40s or 50s. There are numerous studies conducted on how FNC viewers are the dumbest, least educated and most easily manipulated audience anywhere. So if you have a stupid fools attention for hours on end and you feed them endless hours of danger and outrage and it makes you money int the process......why change?

FNC has indoctrinated these people to believe that FNC are they only truth tellers and everyone else are liars. And they coined they term "Main-Stream Media" even though THEY have the largest viewership. Sounds stupid to me. Advertisers have fled the channel over the past few months because of the racist scandals on Tuckers show and others.

I cant see how Lachlan Murdoch can continue to allow the channel to operate in its current state and be sustained in the long term. But at this point the horses (Hannity, Tucker, Ingram) have bolted from the stable. I frankly think its too far gone to restrain the primetime talent. Most of their viewers are the usual psycho non-mask wearing racists, who need an outlet and FNC provides what they need in spades. Unfortunately most outside North America think just because 2-3 million people out of 330million watch FNC in any given hour, its speaks to what most Americans feel or think. Hardly the case.

Only if you consider Fox "News", and frankly, it isn't.

Not only that, but perhaps more importantly, MSNBC also won the slots after Maddow, both in total viewers, and the money demo, as well as Maddow winning both in Total Viewers and the money demo. Rather strangely though, that didn't carry into Friday's figures at all.

Fox has never had mega ratings in the first place. Fox and Friends for example is easily beaten by all of the network morning show offerings.

The way to look at Fox News currently is that it's nothing more than the American version of RT, presenting a viewpoint of news from the pro-Trump bubble. They may well change their editorial stance to a more moderate form of Republicanism if Trump gets voted out in November.

If Biden gets in, hopefully the more moderate news networks will revert to a more newsy format.

Hasn't it always been like that since the days of Bill O'Reilly and Glenn Beck? As long as it keeps bringing in the revenue, it won't change dramatically.

The evenings have always been opinionated, but daytimes have in the past been more like a rolling news channel and Fox and Friends was nowhere as partisan as it is now.

To have formats like Outnumbered and The Five in daytime would have been unthinkable in the 00s.

Those Friday ratings were with Rachel and Lawrence (back to back hours) off, Nicole Wallace filled in for Rachel and Ali Velshi filled in for Lawrence O'Donell. Ali will actually be filling in every Friday until Lawrence retires after the inauguration early next year. It was interesting to see Nicole covering TRMS, as she is rumored to be on the list of possible people to take over Lawrence's hour when he retires.

Where did you read that about Lawrence retiring?

I'm not so sure, the way things are going they could be glad to have an excuse to get rid of Hannity who is so closely connected with the current president.

There is a sense that Fox is doing what Murdoch does over here and starting to distance itself from the candidate who is increasingly toxic. He never likes being associated with a loser. Chris Wallaces' interview at the weekend could be a turning point.


Whatever happens its not the end of Fox News, should Biden get in it will just do what it did in 2000 and reinvent itself as an opposition to the government. Should there be investigations into Trump and everything dragged through the mud there they'll report it with relish, and either drop him in it or treat it as a massive conspiracy
