The studio is very Newsnight - but good to see that through the use of colour Newyddion 9 feels quite different to the earlier shorter summaries. Also shows in this era of genericness what people in the nations and regions can do given the chance.
I seriously don't know what to say about the music, it is... very, very different.
I quite like the headline bed - not so sold on the theme itself (or the execution of the titles) but it does remind me a bit of the old orchestrial themes of Wales Today back in the 90s.
It's nice to see a news programme with an old school news theme, but it doesn't fit with the modern titles. The set looks nice purple but the newsreaders are so badly lit. In fact, all the overhead light is bad, too bright for a 9pm programme. It shows the imperfections such as where the black floor meets the set.
Newyddion 9 is a good name for a news programme, pronounced 'Newyddion Naw', and therefore a bit like News Now.
