i think Mike started 1964 on Look North but before that presented Roundabout on Tyne Tees TV from the mid 1950s. That's some going. He had over 40 years almost continous presenting until this year and his blood clot. In his BBC days he wouldn't take time off as he reckoned people would burgle his hous if he wasnt on the tele at 6.30!

He couldn't have been presenting Roundabout (or NE Roundabout) from the mid 1950's as TTTV didn't commence broadcasting until January 15 1959.
Although not a presenter no more, how long as Southern's Chris Peacock been doing the rounds for? He currently does reports for Central News South with previous stabs at TVS News and reporting on the London News Network.
