The Newsroom

That's amazing - he jumped between studios in five seconds!

Was anyone watching ITV1 London just now?

Alistair Stewart did the National news summary, then five seconds of closing titles and London Today titles, and there he is again - only this time in front of the London skyline rather than the National clock face.

Obviously just a quick change on chroma key, but I need to ask... is this the norm??

Ive seen this happen when Katie and Nina have presented the bulletins as well.

Do they do it with the lunchtime bulletin as well i.e. have one of the national presenters do the 5 minute London bulletin?

Yes, it's the same at lunchtime.

It was strange seeing Bill Neely presenting the London news the other day.

Which studio do they use for this? London Tonight or the main ITN studio?

The main ITV News studio. Basically, as soon as the national presenter is out of shot and the London titles are rolling, they switch the background to the London skyline.

So is it a single camera angle and no wide shot then on the lunchtime edition of London Today?

Yes. They use a split-screen for two-ways etc.
