Liz Wahl was on Channel 4 News last night in a more detailed interview which explains why she joined RT in the first place.

How amateur. She uses caps to make her point and everything.

Is bold better than caps then? (Just teasing)

It dawned on me, after I posted that, that someone might make that point Smile

There was a fairly entertaining spat today between the Guardian's Russian correspondent, currently based in Crimea, and a staffer from RT's video agency Ruptly....

Which led to this...

Someone needs to show Daniel that footage on The Daily Show, of one of these soldiers actually saying "I am a Russian solider", along with the pictures of the Russian tanks.

It seems almost ludicrous that someone can be so wedded to blind propaganda like that in the information age. Sure you could get away with it decades ago, but now you just look like you're trolling. Not to mention the way he ignores people asking him to provide evidence for his claims about the US.

I'm not sure it had much of one before, but after all this RTs reputation is badly hit.

RT is one voice in a sea of others, though - the real issue is that in Russia its POV is the only voice (at least on Russian TV)

RT has a niche following in the US, as Liz Wahl mentioned in one of her post-resignation interviews among the 'fringe' community, those who are likely to protest against the American government and corporations.

I don't know how popular the channel is in the UK, although I suspect the BARB figures put it infront of the likes of France 24, Euronews and Fox News thanks to it's Freeview coverage.

According to these figures it seems to be viewed less than AJE, which is viewed for one minute per viewer a week, while RT is seen less than that.

Yes - particularly worrying is that the one news channel critical of the Russian govt was pulled from the main domestic satellite platform in Feb...
