Anybody else watching the launch? It's on Hotbird at 10971 H.

An interesting combination of orange and green!

It's interesting granted, I think they have a lot to learn when it comes to Graphics and Branding!!! Interesting to see how the channel grows. They've been white networking for about 2 months so they seam to be fairly robust. They are using DALET automation systems, there was an interesting piece by Damian Gramaticus on BBC World. It looks as if the channel is going to have to overcome some serious intervention by the Kermlin to become truly independant.
The presenter was Sasha Twining - does anyone know if this is the same person who was the ex BBC/ITV announcer?

It seems that already this channel has gone off air due to a computer virus!

It is indeed the same Sasha Twining. As well as being one of best, imo, continuity announcers that both the BBC, then ITV had - she is also a qualified journalist. She looked very much at home in front of the camera - friendly yet authoritative. One wonders why she spent so long hiding away out of vision! On the basis of what I've seen I should imagine that one of the London based channels will be looking to employ her asap (assuming that she's only gone to Moscow to further her career of course. She might be very happy there!!)
