Rules of PPB?

Go back a few years and many of these films were 10mins long, during the 90s it was 5mins long. Now adays its 2.5mins long. How and why were there reduced in time?

Also I take it the content rules have also changed over the years: Who has the overruling say in them? Ofcom? Election commission?

What about back in the day?

Wow, was not expecting that short, sharp dose of homophobia with the teacups.

I know this was around the time of Section 28, but how on earth did that get pasted? Did the IBA just not notice?

Well I don't know about you, but I was getting sick of all the gay seminars in the 80s, which were totally a thing.

I don't think PPBs (and PEBs etc) are regulated in quite the same way as most content. Hence the pack of lies that a certain campaign put out as a Referendum Broadcast last May went unchecked.

Maybe it didn't stick

Talking about the presentation, I'm sure at one time BBC and ITV would use the same animation going into the PEBs but both broadcasters differ now, ITV use the same one all the time, the BBC are currently using one specific to the local elections.

Truly awful from start to finish, but the liquid they were pouring was shocking. I would presume it was supposed to be tea.

What happens in a case like this, where a PPB can't be shown for technical reasons?
