I really hope Alex Crawford wins Television Journalist of the Year. She is an amazing correspondent for Sky.

No opinion on most, but hope Julie Etchingham wins the presenter award as she is the best newscaster around at the moment.

If CNN is allowed be nominated, why not BBC World News?

Very surprised at the amount of people wanting CNN International to win
I think they've tried in recent years, but their shows and coverage isn't great.

IMO, Al Jazeera English should win - yes they do tend to cover stories from the 'unreported' corners of the globe, but when there is a big international story they are great. For example Gaza in January 2009, very good coverage.

If so that's probably because it doesn't broadcast to the UK

This is the first time CNNI has been nominated for news channel of the year, right? Why this year and not in the past? They turned into a Fischer Price channel this year. Any other year and I would be rooting for CNNI, but they've turned into an awful channel. I'm outside the UK, so I don't get Sky, so I'm hoping Al Jazeera English wins.

Is covering stories from usually unreported areas a bad thing then?

I wish CNN would win, even though I preferred it before but still they put a lot into this European/UK prime time line up.
