They can finally dump 'Britain's Most Watched news channel' and replace it with its rightful title!


I do agree that the actual format of the news channel is good, its just the sloppy technical problems that let the channel down.


I agree, great channel, very watchable (I guess that explains the 'Britain's Most Watched News Channel' tagline!) Might give Sky News the slap in the face it needs, lets hope so anyway.

Does BBC News still have Britain's Most Watched News Channel on the titles, because I think it was dropped at the last relaunch. Or mabye i'm just mistaken, I am quite tired.

Mark and Katie mentioned on the News at Ten that ITN cameraman Peter Wilkinson had been honoured with the Lifetime Achievement award.

Without wishing to belittle that, it kind of makes it sound like ITV didn't win much else if they didn't mention anything.

A poor night for ITV there then, though I always thought The West Tonight would win - be interesting to see if they mention that on the new bulletin tonight. I guess they could mention it during the opt-out.

Also wonder if they shot themselves in the foot a bit by putting News at Ten rather than the Evening News forward for the best news programme considering the latter has dominated the award in recent years.
