Wouldn't bet against The West Tonight winning the regional award, which would be a bit of an embarrassment for ITV. Didn't they win something for the News Channel after they closed that too?
Why would it be an embarrassment to win an award?
Because it technically no longer exists. Acceptance speech could be interesting though.
It wouldn't be so bad, after all the new programme is essentially The West Tonight under a new name, it's Westcountry Live that lost out. If they won an award it would be very embarrasing
Specialist Journalist of the Year
Jason Farrell - Five News Sky News for Five News
Faisal Islam - Channel 4 News/ Channel 4 News at Noon ITN for Channel 4 News
Robert Peston - BBC News
I didn't realise Jason Farrell was a specialist journalist. I thought he was just a general reporter. What does he specialise in? Do Five News even have specialist journalists?
