Has got a new look!
(I think this is more news-related than posting on the general discussion forum as it's part of the News & Current Affairs Division)
Clearly the heads that be could not survive another second of that montrous pile of glowing red mush and faux-timber panels that consituted a 'set' for Q&A, launched not even 2.5 years ago - easily the worst set on a professional television service in these islands in living memory.
The new look actually looks like a set now - there are decent wides achievable, and it looks much bigger than it actually is.
I could only get photographs of my television screen - no grabs yet

Kinda dated looking to a degree - somewhat early 90s (which I like )
The yokes at the top are a bit naff though - a classic RTÉ ploy from 10 years ago to fill the upper parts of studios with floating panels:
Three-shot - the desk is much more hardwearing than last time, but the main facing panel to the front looks like that shiny kids foil used to cover school books and the like

MCU of Pat Rabbite:

MCU Richard Curran:

Min Dermot Ahern and aston:

The astons seem to be in the vein of the current RTÉ News look, but the logo to the bottom i think is very dated.
Don't know what to make of it all yet - haven't had a chance to look at it posting this!
A great improvement though - God anything would be an improvment!
