Another page from rte.ie that still needs updating:

The TV Guide section was even worse last time I saw it! It lists "Channel 5", "Sky One Mix" and a load of other channels that don't exist anymore.

That's not the TV Guide section, it's just a list of the most recent RTÉ News programmes. But you're right though, it was getting really out of date. It looks much better now.

A couple of more feck-ups to tell ye about... I'm losing the energy to post the sheer volume of them here, but they're on the log

Yeah i think the TV guide was in the Entertinment section. Be careful with the log - RTE will eventually see it and stop streaming bulletins with feck-ups...

Going off topic for a minute

Now, I know you guys are great at picking apart news reports, as I have stated before. I recently made a news report on a body exhibit at a museum in my hometown. I was wondering if you can take a look at it and pick it apart for me?

The shots of people being interviewed could have been better - the angles weren't great and you could have zoomed in further. Also, the lady talking about the lung cancer thing stretched on a bit.

The astons showing facts about the show could have been replaced by one PowerPoint-style slide. They don't really attract attention and flash on and off screen too quickly.

Some parts could have been shortened a bit, but it's not bad.

And so it goes on...

Title sequence on the Nine O'Clock News froze half-way through. They mixed to side shot of set early.

Here's the link from last night: Scroll to 5:42

Yesterday was quite the day for feck ups. Sky's jib went crazy at the TOTH (3pm), while Martin King "wasn't ready" (his own admission) for the weather at 5:30, so Alan Cantwell carried on with the "And Finally" story from the hard copy after the Avonmore trail.

13 February: Six-One
8:08 Difficult to see online, but if you look closely you can see the motorcyclist who comes into shot making a gesture with his hand to Charlie Bird.
13:13 It's unfair to make a case of it, but Sharon nearly mixes up Ian Bailey with a well-known politican. Guess which one!
14:25 Lens fogged for Paschal Sheehy's PTC - again it looked worse on TV but there's no hiding the awful lighting.
25:56 How many times can one fit "Michael Finucane" into a sentence? To be fair, each reference was worth including, but it kinda sounds funny.

13th February; Prime Time
PT is quite good, both content and presentation wise, so this unexpected and brief cut to Miriam at 27:16 came as a surprise.

That jumble was funny for me Smile

Anyone know if Nuacht TG4 and RTE2 are being revamped this year? It's been 3 years...
