Loads more little things to point out:
Yesterday's Six-One:

6:12 Bryan's mic cut up late
10:08 Report audio cut during sign-off
22:43 Hard to see online, but the image skips when Charle Bird holds up the book
54:58 Liam Hassett's name spelled incorrectly on the strap

Today's Nuacht had its fair share of problems too, and of course it isn't available. It's getting beyond a joke at this stage, even the Nuacht homepage which gets plugged at the end of each bulletin isn't available since the revamp.

If the bulletin was available I'd get to show you Siún being cut up during Timpeall na Tíre (she handled it like a pro), the DOG going crazy during News with Signing (incidentally it was the Nuacht DOG which they used in error), and "Castelcomer" (sic) being referred to on the autocue.

Maybe they're not putting them online on purpose?

I imagine that fat, French fries- and hamburger-filled blades sitting there. They're just lazy and care of themselves and they probably don't even know what Nuacht means. From me - Good night.

dear me. it seems that ever since the relaunch RTE News seems to have desended into a cock-up black hole. What is going on!

That is so unprofessional! Didn't the director tell them they were on instead of 10 secs of semi-silence and studio noise? Shocked

Yeah she does!

But look at the damn graphic of the website promo - its of the RTE homepage, not the news homepage

Plonkers!

Evil or Very Mad

Who cares there anyway?

I care - cos if you promo something then the right thing should be on the screen surely? No? I thought that if you wanted to talk about a burger you would not put up a graphic of fries or chicken? If they wanted to promo the RTE website then fine, but they were promoting the RTE news website. Sure if we didn't care then Sky could just do the top three hits on the BBC news website so. For Christ sake, this forum is for commenting on things and I was commentingm and just cos you didn't care, doesn't mean it wasn't worth a comment on.

Surely does seem that way... September in particular was absolute mayhem! Plus we've had more extreme cases of feck-ups, like the sports bulletin over Christmas where nothing worked, and the inaccurate reporting of David Ervine's passing at the start of January. Both of these highlighted the shambles that have been discussed here for awhile now.

You care? Um... are you from the RTE? I meant the RTE by 'there', not the people here, in TVForum Very Happy

Thats a bit strong isn't it? If you want them to be inspired to stop making mistakes then that surely isn't the way to do it!

Translation for those of you who don't speak Iirish: "May you go without coming back, may you fall without getting up and may the cat eat you and let the devil eat the cat".

But in fairness they're hardly going to stop making mistakes with machines they don't know how to use.

They'd look more professional putting NUACHT on YouTube than not posting it at all (I've seen some third world broadcasters doing that though Laughing)
