It looks good, but look at the title of the homepage at the top of your browser. It says "RTÉ Irelands National Radio Broadcaster". Pulling out of TV then? Also the Entertainment news is featured above Business, should be the other way round really. But it does look like a proper broadcasters website, and the Aertel pages are much improved. Initial reaction is very good Very Happy

One major problem though. How can we get the RTSP link for the video files now that they open up in their own window? Without it there's no way we can link directly to the feck ups!

Just viewed the website, all I can say it was past overdue a revamp, at least this somewhat brings it to 2007, the previous felt like 1999. Smile

EDIT: Hmm... " RTE Ireland's National Radio Broadcaster" what happened to TV? Razz

It's easy - just click the RealPlayer applet with the right mouse button and click 'Play in RealPlayer'.

There are so many typos on the new site - I'd understand if it was breaking news that was changing every second but there's no excuse for "Smile with Marty while your sitting in traffic" on the 2fm page. Seems a bit optimistic for a show thats days are numbered...

God damn those idiots. I don't have words to express my abandonment. I don't want to watch TG4...

But RTE produce Nuacht TG4 and it's broadcast from the Gaeltacht, not Dublin. Who cares how cheap it looks?

Well, the new RTE site is very nice in my opinion, looks and feels very ergonomic and now it's (at last) fine contemporary. And created using layers not tables - Web 2.0 rules! Smile

Now, only TG4's website redesign is compulsory to do... that site looks like a hoax for me, being honest.

I've done that, but it's the RTSP address I'm looking for. It was previously obtainable by saving "target as" and opening the file in notepad (something I only discovered recently). I'm not sure if saving the file to my favourites in Real Player will work, worth a try though.

EDIT: That idea didn't work, but I've found it using a much more awkward method.

The "National Radio Broadcaster" mention that several of us noted has been sorted. The revamp got a mention on One O'Clock with John Finnerty.

Well it's only been that way since 1999...

I predict TG4 getting right up to date in April or the summer.

I'm able to open it in Real Player, that's not the problem. I'm looking for the RTSP address for the file, which I've kind of found (just like in the link below).
