You mean on TG1? Crap. The opening animation would be acceptable from a third world country, the studio looks like something RTE would use in the early 90s if they could afford it, the headline bed sound like a really old ad jingle and the presentation of the headlines is just... !!!
*** For anyone who hasn't seen it, go to this website, go to Italy and go to Rai (or Rai News). Believe it or not, that look was only introduced in 2004
Does anyone know if
Nuacht TG4
will get a revamp this year? The current look is fairly typical of RTE tbh. Just thought there'd be a new look because TG4 usually get a new look a few months after RTE and the last look was introduced in 2004.
They might wait until the start of April (when TG4 becomes completely independent from RTE, apart from Nuacht + 1 hour of programmes) and then slap on some RTE branding, possibly "Nuacht RTE ar TG4"...
It's by no means complete yet but over the past while I've gone through the pages of this thread and compiled a list of all the feck ups from RTÉ News that have been included on this forum. I haven't gotten around to a lot of the earlier ones yet and there's some new ones to put in at the top, but for now take a trip down memory lane and relive some of the best (sic) bits.
It's at the RTÉ News Log. And I'll be sure to include a nod to you all as well.
I bet RTE will find out that you're watching them in Poland and decide to start charging for it. Typical RTE. Apparently they want us to get TV licenses for 3G phones, computers etc too

That was a Govt committee that suggested that not RTE
Hmm, I like it, as it looks very web 2.0, but doesn't have musch substance, although I do like how the RTE logo isn't in colour, which makes it look classier, and how most pages have their own colour theme (ie, Brown for the News)
EDIT:
I also see that there are all of the News shows in a very BBC esque player. It is very good quality, but is a 16:9 all squised into 4:3 square.
