The Royal Wedding - TV coverage

Bit of a hatchet job on the 'Specials' on BBC ONE - 7.00pm and ITV - 7.30pm.

Not much 'positive' said - A lot of 'negative' comments.

More evidence of the 'rushed' announcement me thinks.

According to Andrew Marr on the 6 O'Clock News, there may be a Bank Holiday on Friday 8th April due to the wedding!!!!

If there is, that suggests at least some of it will be televised, I suspect.

Forgive the cynicism... but the government declaring an extra bank holiday 4 weeks before the General Election is a tad suspicious...

If they did it would sum New Labour up completely. Accusations would fly.

The wedding actually might put a spanner in the election timetable - It would be desirable for Parliament to be in session during the wedding. It would mean rushing things through for a dissolution the following Tuesday for a poll to be held as the pundits are predicting.

Forget the wedding, were having a bank holiday!

Sorry, I didn't make that point to clear. My editor is a bit of a royal freak and to celebrate this "momentous" occasion of Charlie marring Mages No.1 favourite family friend she given the whole office the day off!

well its about time the BBC decide to use their screens. like at the start, Huw was standing at the screen which was good visually. Then the different images on the screens went well.
