Question about OBs I've been pondering for the last few minutes.

Jane Hill (in a rather fetching scarf) is clutching a large bunch of papers and referring to them when talking about various statements that have just been released and so on.

What will she and the likes of Simon McCoy actually have with them in terms of printers, access to ENPS and so on? Have we gone past the days of correspondents standing in front of important buildings and having everything told to them through an earpiece.

I note from some shots on sky earlier all the gazebo-type things have already gone up in that ring around the Victoria memorial. Presumably the hot dog van in Green Park is doing good business.

I haven't got any access to the tv channels at the moment, so can someone tell me who's doing outside broadcasts for each channel (N24, World, ITV and Sky). Also, has anyone got any screen caps of the BBC News Special?

BBC News 24 got the TOTH wrong at 4pm.

It went to the weather, a promo for News 24 and then the promo for TV Licence started at around 3.59pm and 40 seconds.

It then cut immediately to Jane Hill at Buckingham Palace (no countdown). She started saying the headlines about the wedding (without the bed) and on screen it cut to a few videos for a split second then went to black and back to Jane.

Jane Hill kept pausing in between where the thunderclaps should have went. It then went as normal to the studio (still no bed) and had the rest of the headlines. The main TOTH ident (or whatever it's called) played as normal and faded into Jane.

She had a summary of the wedding then it cut to a graphic with bullet points explaning things about the wedding. The sound was still of Jane Hill (should have been a report) and I heard her say "graphic..." and then it went back to normallity.

I take it that shouldn't have happened. Laughing

Does anyone else think that the six o'clock news spent too much time on the wedding? Nearly 20 minuets was spent!
