The civil ceremony will take place at 12.30pm on Saturday.

Think blessing is still at 2.30 - lasts 45 mins, so could be a bit of a squeeze between then and the Grand National (presuming its still on BBC One) if things are running a bit late.

Wow, what a weekend. Fiona presenting the Ten on Friday and on Saturday Huw and Sophie presenting for the wedding and Clare Balding presenting the Grand National. It looks like I'm gonna be a hermit this weekend. Laughing

It's the day today. I know there would be live coverage on Breakfast today, with Sian live from Windsor. Any caps there??

The portacabin that Sian was broadcasting from didn't have a particularly great view - you can just about see the side of Windsor Guildhall. It seems to be right on the pavement too, so people keep taking photos and heads keep bobbing right past the window.

Sky on the other hand have a studio that looks like it's several miles away. The castle is in the distant background, with the park in between. Also, the quality of Sky's live pictures is pretty bad.

Haven't seen any of the ITV news channel's coverage yet.

For some reason (Lunchtime News rehearsals? Election rehearsals?) the NC is in the virtual studio this morning.

I dont think so. It was Katie's voice over the ITV NEWS wedding special, so we could assume from that she's presenting it, or part of the team. Rehearsals would have been done weeks ago, and there has hardly been a minute in the day recently for anyone to be rehearsing anything.

Yes, Nick and Katie are presenting this afternoon

Doesn't preclude technical rehearsals, surely?

Who says the BBC is dumbing down? Piers Morgan and Trinny and Susannah. For goodness' sake!

BBC NEWS Special on BBC ONE and N24 at the moment.. I see that N24 have cleaned their stripped logo DOG up. People may have noticed that the stripped DOG used for most simulcasts lately, and during ABC World News Tonight on N24, has had an absolutely horrible black shadowing effect (like a really poorly made transparent gif, that kind of effect) - probably as a result of someone trying to make sure the logo was visible on all backgrounds dark and light. Unfortunately, on lighter backgrounds it just looked horrible.

The stripped logo DOG in place has no such effect; it's identical to the pre-2004 DOG that used to identify the channel.

The set up Sophie is in is interesting, switching between her sat watching a TV and kneeling up on a chair to look out of the window!

It was introduced on BBC ONE with a nice long Acrobats. Any longer and the ident would have been played out. It was unusual though to hear the acrobats music for a while clean before the announcer as it seems to be used just for news nowadays with the same pre-recorded annoucement from the local regions.
