I don't know what the BBC is doing but I'm now sticking with ITV, where James Mates is doing a decent job with the commentary - just piping up every now and then (e.g. in gaps of silence), letting the images and sounds of the ceremony speak for themselves.
I think ITV's presenting team is also hitting the balance just right - the right mix of gravitas and excitement. Huw et al over at the BBC aren't really cutting it for me...
EDIT: Beat me to it Rob! But yes, splendid coverage on ITV.

Everyone was a little sceptical of the Phil & Julie pairing and it was a massive risk for ITV that could have gone one way or the other. They have well and truly pulled it off and its nice to see the whole ITV News team with a bit of personality. The graphics are great too, and the colouring show that ITV
can
"align" their news output with the channel branding, but not have the monstrosities they currently use.
ITV have really excelled themselves, especially as reports suggest they could be losing up to £8m today, and they could have easily opted for generic coverage.

Agree with the above that ITV have the better presenting team. I've mainly kept to ITV1 for the whole ceremony, which I did not expect.
I only turned over to Sky News once or twice, and in one case they were just talking about how a horse came loose from the procession and started running amok, and how the rider of the horse was taken aside and given a 'thorough dressing down'.

Both the BBC and ITV doing an excellent job of padding this morning. Ended up watching the ceremony on the BBC and Huw Edwards having the same problem as he had during the Olympic ceremonies - he can't shut up and let the pictures tell the stories and the viewers soak in the atmosphere - the BBC seem to feel every moment of silence needs to be filled. No qualms though about his commentary on the procession.
Really though any thought their wedding might see a revival in church weddings across the country won't be fulfilled - indeed they just reminded me why people tend to avoid them nowadays and it felt at times more like a trial than a celebration.

Entertainment Tonight.
Odd - if you pop to the Daily Mail website for a second, their live feed has suddenly switched to a studio of some sort with Sharon Osbourne being made up in it. Where the hell is this from?
