Understated but lovely studio on ITV, nice relaxed presentation as well.
Nice graphics too - but no opening titles? They went straight into Julie and Philip from Daybreak.
Yeah is nice. Yeah the graphics are nice too, sometimes the ITV graphics can be slightly big and tacky, but there just nice and simple. I suppose there were no opening titles as it wen't straight from Daybreak, plus they would have only been used once. I suppose they could have used the special Daybreak titles today, albeit tweaked. Did BBC have any special titles?
The Beeb seem to be having major 5.1 audio problems via BBC 1HD. OB injects into the coverage have no audio, and it looks as if Red Bee are having to switch to an upconverted SD feed during those contributions ?

Yeah, I noticed that too. I also think it goes into upscaled SD during the OB's as it looks slightly grainy?

I was querying that too. Huw handed over, to be greeted by silence. They then went through half of an interview with no audio, before it faded up. Even that audio was rather quiet, wasn't it? They then did it again a minute later in a different OB.

I wonder what happened on BBC 1 SD, was the audio present there ? I suspect a meta-data problem between the master OB truck and Red Bee possibly ?
I'm a bit biased but feel that ITV are edging it so far. Huw seems a bit lonely and hasn't mastered the Dimbledonian art of talking to yourself. Also seems a bit subdued, like they've forgotten it's meant to be a happy day - Phil and Julie are having a right laugh
I watched the tail end of Breakfast and first half hour or so of the main programme on BBC 1 before giving up, frustrated by the likes of Fearne Cotton, Chris Hollins and Alex Jones. I put ITV on and wasn't too impressed by Daybreak, and flicked over to sky for all of three seconds before realising Kay Burley would melt my brain. I'm not watching NBC's coverage instead.
For what it's worth, though, I would have said ABC have access to some better shots than NBC - wider shots, at least, with NBC going for more close ups. I'd be interested to know who will be providing the ceremony commentary at ABC, CBS and NBC?
ITV certainly seem to be leading the coverage over the BBC at the moment. CNN has some serious timing issues earlier today. It was surprising to see E!'s coverage being actually quite watchable, typically American but the coverage is showing a really positive side of Great Britain.
BBC have a nicer studio, in my opinion, although ITV do seem to have better coverage. They were with the PM, when the Beeb were focusing on David Beckham.
Also, Huw keeps looking to the side, where there isn't anyone, and speaking to the left of the camera in links.
