I know the BBC has that bubble studio thing, but who do the other two belong to? These are not joined on to the main green press area. Phillp and Julie were there today, This Morning had a seperete area at Australia gate.

I assumed ITV and Sky? The gate next to them was marked 'UK Broadcasters'. I'll consult the site plan when I get to work (very early) tomorrow.

Oh right, why are ITV not with them?Julie and Phillip were where Alistair and Mary were tonight i think. There was a lone man at a desk in the one next to the buble but i couldn't make im out.

If you mean the one at Canada Gate, the one in the middle (open-air but covered) is the one that NBC's Today Show has been broadcasting from - so I suppose they could be sharing ITV's.

Given the amount of co-operation between NBC and ITN, I think that's a fair bet.

So that puts BBC on the left, ITV in the middle, and Sky on the right.

Australia Gate, as I've just learned thanks to this thread, is the one directly opposite Canada Gate; the one in the middle (and directly opposite Buck House) is South and West Africa Gate, as marked on this map:
http://wikimapia.org/#lat=51.5019776&lon=-0.1412451&z=17&l=0&m=b

The three studios above are just to the west of Canada Gate; the three-storey behemoth is between Canada and South & West Africa Gates; and there's the smaller single-decker row of studios between South & West Africa Gates and Australia Gates.

Those chairs are rather awful looking! Rest of the set looks well though - it will be on air at 8pm.

@MattJF

IIRC someone was suggesting above that ITV's studio was next to the BBC's bubble - doesn't seem like it if these pictures are anything to go by?

Also wonder why ITV seem to be using face mic's ( not sure if there've got a proper name) for tomorrows broadcast, Mary was also wearing one on the 6pm local news "join us tomorrow" preview, yet Mary and Alastair weren't wearing one for the News at 6:30 thought. Is it mearly a backup or are normal mic's not very good with the extreme nosie that will obvioulsy happen tomorrow? Haven't seem them on other channel's so far though.

Using those sort of mics seem very American. Lots of cheering on the BBC six and ITV 6.30 tonight - was someone prompting them? Especially on the BBC at the Abbey, almost on cue to scream.

Also, another pic of Simon McCoy from earlier today
