A shot of NBC Today's 2006 Torino Winter Olympic Games 'studio', which they actually used from new York for the Summer of that year while Studio 1A got an HD makeover.

Looks like the exact same structure they had in Athens.

Quite possibly the same - but I didn't know if it was and at best it was a shot from a different angle.

I have arrived in London and it's a great place to be if you are a fan of the broadcast media. Hundreds of news crews, staff, OB vans and so on. Here Is a pic of Richard Quest I think recording a piece.

They also took it to Beijing in 2008. Probably to London for 2012 too...

I was wondering whether the Daybreak studio would be in use for the Royal Wedding - and it turns out it will be.

On this morning's show, they were interviewing a couple of presenters from Discovery TLC in the US about worldwide interest in the Royal Wedding, and they said they'd be loaning them their studio on Friday.

Also interesting that MSNBC's Morning Joe are coming from Buckingham Palace this morning rather than Trafalgar Square - they've got a lot less space (only room for four people, it seems). I wonder where they'll come from the morning of the Wedding, seeing as MSNBC are doing their own wedding coverage. Presumably NBC only have one set up in each location?

Apologises for quoting myself, but I now see that Today were in the NBC Trafalgar Square location this morning. I know Natalie Morales was in (what I assume to be) their Westminster Abbey location yesterday.

Good, innit? I've just been down for a wander round Canada Gate myself, and it's pretty impressive. There's a big presence from SIS, whose cameras are everywhere - I think they may be the host broadcaster for the ceremonial stuff around the Palace - as well as NEP Visions and Arena. But also a bewildering array of satellite dishes, facs trucks (I spotted two big ones from NDR), and people wandering around with cameras.

Lots of pics - I'll post some soon. Plus one of the BBC's studio, which you might just recognise...

The election bubble perhaps?

Possibly, although remember that BBC Outside Broadcasts were sold to SIS so they're probably also doing the BBC coverage.

The NDR one is quite prominent, as is the one with a big multi-primary coloured '2'.... possibly TV2 Norway?
