Just a thought, but will CNBC be simualcasting NBC's coverage? It would be nice to see how they're covering it.

It is a normal business day outside the UK, I can't see that their regular viewers would be keen on getting wedding coverage

Quite surprised no channel seems to be cashing in on either repeating or airing a documentary about Charles and Diana's wedding.

Rather a bad omen, don't you think?

In the usual crass, superficial, and parochial manner the American networks cover everything I suspect !

I had a look at http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbcone/programmes/schedules/london/2011/04/29 and noticed that lots of the synopsis information is just the same generic ones they have everyday, so I've had a go at writing my own.

6.00 Breakfast
Lighted hearted news and celebrity interviews. Mostly wedding based. An American guest speaks about how the US broadcasters have been covering the build up to the royal wedding.

8.00 The Royal Wedding
Live coverage of the wedding between the future King of England and his human bride.

1.40 BBC News at One
Details of a UK house fire that has killed two people and a recap of the mornings royal events in London.

2.00 Regional News
Featuring an extended report about how people are celebrating the Royal Wedding in your region which is introduced live from a street party. Also includes an interview with the owner of a local shop that has supplied an item for the royal wedding. The owner wishes the royal couple well and jokes that they are always welcome to visit the shop after their honeymoon.

2.10 The Royal Wedding
More fun and games with Huw Edwards and his puppet sidekick Huge Edward. Willy and Kat Wales (nee Middleton) entertain and amuse the crowds. May contain flashing images.

4.00 Regional News
See 2.00. Actual running time: 3 minutes.

4.05 Wallace and Gromit: A Matter of Loaf and Death
Schedule subject to change. Wallace and Gromit fill a 30 minute gap.

4.35 Film: Shrek
Dark comedy starring Susan Fitzer.

6.00 BBC News
More details of the earlier house fire and we get to find out which celebrity has died today. At least 3 reports on various elements of The Royal Wedding.

6.30 Regional News
See 2.00. Contains some mildly strong language and scenes of drunken behaviour from a local street party.

7.00 The One Show
Join Chris Evans, Alex Jones and Gyles Brandreth for a multi camera OB from a street party in West London. In a serious item, an expert is interviewed briefly about the 'Camilla Parker Bowles incident' which happened early today. Featuring the director selecting the wrong camera and a close up of a dog. A 4 piece band including a trumpeter provide the music. Please note: This programme will have a rushed ending.

8.00 EastEnders
The residents attended a street party in the Square and make very vague references to the days events. A problem with the bunting is averted with seconds to spare. Ian and Jane seem to rekindle old feelings as they toast the royal couple with a glass of champaign. Dot reminisces about the Queen's coronation. Featuring some audio recorded earlier today.

8.30 The Royal Wedding - Highlights
Bloopers and other comical moments from the days events. Finishes with a still shot of William and Kate. Followed by a sarcastic remark from the continuity announcer (not Scotland).

10.00 BBC News
Several people have been killed in another country. Find out which one at 10pm. Report on the clean up operation after todays royal wedding.

Once the service is over, the vast majority of viewers will be no longer interested.

Once the service ends at 12.15, I expect the vast majority of viewers will want to stay tuned for the balcony appearance at 1.30. After watching TV for several hours straight, they will then probably want to get up and do something else - particularly if the weather is nice - so I would agree that post-lunchtime coverage is a trifle unnecessary.

Probably because all of the St Pauls interior pictures (i.e. those not visible to the general public) will be Crown Copyright I believe.

Probably too murky to delve into, but I'd have thought for suvh events the copyright would be with the broadcasters who originally showed them.

They raised a good point though on 10 o'clock Live last week. If the American's are so interested in it, why not charge them for the rights to broadcast it and let that pay for the event itself.

Incidentally, for those who missed it, I rather enjoyed Charlie Brooker's take on the run-up to the coverage, including a rather sickly trailer from ET:
