Shrek and Wallace and Gromit?? How many bleeding times have those two been on in the past two years! Basically it's just the wedding all day then realistically.

It's one thing simulcasting it on BBC1 and BBC News, but does it really need to be on Radio 1 and Radio 2 along with Radio 4 and 5 Live?

Different demographics requiring different presentation styles. Good PSB work.

Fox News have announced their Royal Wedding coverage - led by Shepard Smith and Martha MacCallum.

Interestingly Fox News will simulcast Sky News from 1-6am ET on February 27th and 28th. Seems like an odd decision, Sky are hardly going to be rolling with the Wedding coverage 2 days before the actual event.

Not that many:
Wallace and Gromit: A Matter of Loaf and Death: 4 times (except for viewers in Scotland)
Shrek: once.

World-watchers may be pleased to note that the schedule is largely undisturbed on the day, with BBC One coverage on BBC Entertainment (formerly Prime) and BBC America. BBC Canada's website don't seem to be shouting about it, which seems odd - perhaps they don't think they'd be able to compete with CBC? (I think Peter Mansbridge could take Huw Edwards in a fight)

The current updated BBC One schedule for the day (NOT FINAL):
4.00 Regional News

Seems a rather random bulletin

6.30 Regional News

So 25 minutes of this is how we celebrated the Royal Wedding in our region (just like everywhere else) and 5 minutes of news I guess? It's a bank holiday. Surely 10-15 minutes would be fine as usual?

7.00 The One Show
8.00 EastEnders
8.30 The Royal Wedding - Highlights

Is this the worst primetime schedule on BBC1 ever? Eastenders - great. Some Royal Wedding highlights - fine. But 90 minutes of highlights plus The One Show, which will probably be wedding focused. Overkill!!! (Even more so when the news is factored in)

If I can I will watch the wedding, but do viewers really want it almost all day?

Although the 29th is technically a bank holiday, it sounds like they've scheduled in the normal mid-afternoon regional update an hour later than usual.

Wonder if the likes of What's on TV will boot EastEnders off the cover for the wedding.

I'd put money on every listings magazine splashing the wedding all over their covers.

I wouldn't. It'll be mentioned on a banner but What's On Tv always have EastEnders on the front, 99% of the time.
