There are three post service functions to fit in, so hence the traditional Wedding 11am start for the event.

By this do you the reception hosted by the Queen and then smaller Prince of Wales hosted private dinner?

I suppose being a 11:00 start means that the car/carriage will be departing Buckingham Palace quite a bit earlier though?

Phillip & Julie for ITV's coverage seems to be confirmed, Julie just tweeted this:

Walked route of Royal Wedding this afternoon - you do get gripped by a certain sense of history. And Philip Schofield is great company.

Fearne Cotton Shocked and there was me thinking Phillip on ITV was a poor choice.

Delighted to see that the BBC is bringing out the heavyweights for this major event. Clearly, Dimbleby, Jane Hill, Kirsty Wark, Jon Sopel, Sian Williams, Emily Maitlis and George Alagiah just didn't cut-it in the gravitas stakes.

Well, at least we'll have Mishal Husain on BBC World for the event. Not quite Fearne Cotton, but we'll try to struggle along...............

It makes those people dismissing ITV's coverage look a bit daft now. Phillip Schofield is like Paxman compared to Fearne!

I'm sure folk like Jon Sopel, Sian Williams, Emily Maitlis and George Alagiah will be used at somepoint duirng the day enough though Huw is doing the main coverage. Sian is bound to be on breakfast and there is still the NC coverage in the afternoon and evening to cover and I don't think that Huw will be doing the whole day.

It's one thing simulcasting it on BBC1 and BBC News, but does it really need to be on Radio 1 and Radio 2 along with Radio 4 and 5 Live?

It sounds like Fearne Cotton will only be doing a few OBs whereas Phil will be anchoring the coverage. Given it is on Radio 1 as well, it seems a logical move. And all you need to remember is that Amanda Holden is anchoring the CBS coverage, so as weird as some of our teams may sound, I don't think anything compares to that Laughing .
