Hardly an important royal anyway - technically the future equivalent of Prince Edward.

Prince Andrew surely?

Was the betting on Albert being the name given to the boy?

At the moment I'm making this thread Kate Middleton has gone into labour. I'm making this thread to see if we can spot any TV Presentation or to see if Simon McCoy will he "delighted" with the news.

He's definitely on duty, just retweeted someone who says he'll be recording Afternoon Live today.

Is there less of a hoohah this time around because the little guy is further down the line to the throne? Or are they just not bothered about Kate giving birth anymore?

I'm not a big fan of the royal family, but even I can understand why today's news would replace a game show. Some people need to get a grip. Even though this child will likely never sit upon the throne, he is still in the line of succession and therefore, significant. It is also one of the few occasions when there is Good news, and people should be happy about that. If people feel that strongly about Tipping Point being cancelled for one day, then they should write a strongly worded e-mail about it.

Rant over.

ITV News have live coverage on ITV but BBC have decided not to bother as they have a rolling news channel
