At the risk of being sexist, why 'The Duke' ?
It's one of the ruling monarch's hereditary titles and just stuck as it is, I suppose.
Seems I may have been wrong about Born to be King. Despite the voice-overs only referring to "this baby" and such, there's been a section on baby names which only featured male names, and a quick PTC on how the change in royal succession law won't be needed after all (although I wasn't paying full attention so it may still have been left slightly ambiguous so as not to look too prophetic).
