I dare say a boy version was also created? Thankful the nations have it, I wonder how oftern it will be pushed out this afternoon?

They created both "It's a boy/girl" idents when the first royal baby was born back in 2013, it's just we've never gotten to see the "It's a Girl" one until now: http://theident.gallery/player.php?id=ITV-2013-ID-ITSABOY-1
Now I think of it, good thing that they were both born in the spring/summer or that ident would have looked out of place.
I didn't manage to catch the newsflash on BBC One this morning as I was too slow launching my capture program, so instead until someone uploads a better copy, here's what happened during Saturday Kitchen as ripped from the iPlayer.

but your correct about ITV making both in 2013

Well its a slight improvement from crashing out of a man in drag hitting an old man on the head with a tea tray straight into an excited announcer promoting a death like a new EastEnders plot, but not much.
They aren't having a good record with these lately.
