Who do you see as the rising stars of TV News in the future? In terms of the BBC, I can see Ben Thompson, Christian Fraser, Tina Daheley and Ben Bland going onto bigger and better things.

I'm surprised Victoria Fritz also isn't in that list. She's handled the likes of Aaron Heslehurst well and did well as Victoria Derbyshire cover for four days this summer.

Chloe Tilley is another who is woefully underused on the tv side of BBC News, personally I find her delivery is more suited to the VD show than Derbyshire and Joanna Gosling.

From Sky News: Niall Paterson (Very impressive on All Out Politics & Ridge on Sunday), Gamal Fahnbuelleh and Jonathan Samuels.

I would definitely second Christian Fraser; he's got all the makings of the next flagship presenter.

Realistically, I think Simon McCoy is probably in line to take over when one of the main presenters steps down but I'd happily be proven wrong.

Oh yes, Victoria Fritz too. I also think Chloe Tilley is brilliant and is definitely underused.

If Huw was to leave BBC News and I was the person at the BBC who decided such things, Niall Paterson is who I’d be picking up the phone to speak to.

Sadly, I can see Clive Myrie or Reeta Chakrabarti taking over when one of the "main four" eventually move on.

Lewis Vaughan Jones is coming on leaps and bounds. I can see him going onto bigger things in the future.

I've said before I'd be offering a UK role to Katty Kay if she was interested. Mishal Husain would also be more than capable of being the lead presenter of the Six or the Ten.

There isn't anyone really on the news channel who I think definately should be on one of the two flagship shows, including the brilliant Simon McCoy. Most are suited to the One at best IMO.

I do think the BBC need to tidy up their bulletin schedule a bit - George's situation makes it tricky with the Six but I think Sophie now cover the Six and Ten enough to officially remove her from the One and give that bulletin a new regular host, with Sophie then officially an evening presenter across both bulletins (though personally I've never really rated her).

I think it is more that Jane has been on leave and is currently working less days than normal that has caused the inconsistency on the one. As Jane returns to her usual 4 days a week it is likely the she will present the vast majority of the ones with Reeta and Ben covering on Mondays and possibly Fridays.

One from Radio Four / World Service who's destined to move to TV sooner rather than later - Luke Jones.
