Reporting of terrorism (North London incident)

I might write some more thoughts about what's been said later. But have you not thought that the uncensored reporting of this stuff could play into the hands of a government? And that might by why government don't try and control it? Although clearly hasn't helped Theresa May recently.

I think any kind of official censorship is the wrong idea but more a voluntary code with the purpose of savings lives.

There is considerably less coverage - at least in terms of the depth and detail of it - compared with previous incidents due to the fact that a suspect is in custody and the broadcasters rightly have to tread carefully to avoid prejudicing any trial.

Which is giving the "mainstream media bias" conspiracy theorists plenty to wibble on about.
