Hi there, I was just wondering does anybody here have any idea if/when Reporting Scotland will be getting some new, refreshed titles, graphics and a new look set? The current look was launched in 1999 and the programme seriously needs a makeover, it looks boring and ancient and crying out to be given a new look.

I'd imagine it will be when they move to Pacific Quay?

And when is that btw? Is it next year, or 2008?

This summer should see the installation of studio equipment go ahead at PQ. That much is public information.

I'd love to say more, but I'm apparently bound by a confidentiality clause my company signed earlier this year.

Doh.

doesn't RS have NI place names in its titles too? I seem to remember someone pointing out places such as "coleraine" mentioned in the spinning swirls!

Yep, Northern Ireland placenames certainly feature in the "bulletin" titles i.e. the short titles... which they use at 1830!

*your* company is kitting them out? Dear god. No doubt we'll tune in to see you've written FABULOUS and drawn a big arrow on all the cameras that point at Jackie.

Sadly not, but I'd like to think it was a close run thing.

I just hope Jackie continues to look fab with the ropey studio lighting they end with.

I am looking forward to the move.
Hopefully, it will bring a new lease of life into BBC Scotland output.
I wonder if Reporting Scotland and Newsnight will share studios, or if they will have seperate ones?

Who knows. I think Reporting Scotland is to have a set looking out real windows over the Clyde. Is this still the case?

So let's get this straight - you Scottish folk haven't had a new look on BBC Reporting Scotland for nearly 7 years. And I thought BBC Wales Today going without a refresh for nearly 6 was bad.
