I don't think that Jackie and David get on.Jackie and Anne Mackenzie don't get on as a few years ago Anne had to borrow one of Jackies jackets a last minute thing to read the news Jackie went mad .

When Viv Lumsden started at RPS about 1986 the Queen of Queen Margaret Drive then Mary Marquais resented Viv and there was a lot of back biting went on with those two .I wish Jackie would scratch Fiona Hendersons eyes out can't bear her and on breakfast optout today she looked liked she needed a wash her hair was sticking to her head.

Yes, you're right they don't. However you never seem to see any friction on screen. Maybe they just try to like each other on - air.

Not so a few months ago there was something in the paper about them both .Along the lines that they were told off by bosses as they were making comments on air .

After a piece about dresses, or someting like that, David made a comment about a hideous dress that Jackie wore during the Hogmanay programme a few years ago, to which she made some comment about him. They were told to hide their dislike for each other on-air because it was not good for the programme, IIRC.

Someone was asking about a Scotland Today review of the year show a few weeks ago.The highlights programme will be on Monday 27 December at 2.30 p.m.

I wonder if the sacking of former Head Of News Paul Mckinney will be highlited or doesn't the budget stretch that far .

The fact that they have recruited a new Head of News may be a good thing (don't be fooled by my username - I have no connection to SMG!) There news service is still a little better than the rest of the network. (UTV looks cheap and the English regions contain absolutely no news!) However, Scotland Today could be doing with a facelift. It makes the London Tonight set look good! Maybe they'll surprise us when they move to Pacific Quay. No reason why they can't have their set in the newsroom. If it's the only real thing coming from STV now then why not? A properly designed newsroom could look something like News 24 or Sky. They're moving to a new open plan state-of-the-art office on the riverside of Glasgow. The views are amazing and the office will be big so why not? Instead, we'll end up getting some rubbish set that will be allowed to rot away looking awful until ITVplc buys the ass off smg.
