ANYWAY, Watched RS tonight, looks as if they ran out of time tonight, no time for headlines. ST did trounce them tonight with their Vicky Hamilton coverage, though.

Aye - saw ST online - well and truly gubbed em!

Newsnight Scotland tonight presented live from Dublin as a European Elections Special - comparing the attitudes and approaches of Ireland to the EU compared with ours in Scotland. Worth a watch.

Will most likely be on the iPlayer as Newsnight Scotland usually is.

I don't know who was directing Reporting Scotland after the 10pm news, but there was IMO excellent direction. It was helped by a rather stunning Glasgow sunset / nighttime sky in the background.

Still baffled about why they provide a regional forecast on a Sunday at this time, but yet Saturday teatime only warrants a number of " large words " on the screen. ( Particulary when there is a national UK forecast immediately after the 1020pm bulletin ).

A journalist, as are all the bulletins apart from 1.30pm and 6.30pm weekdays.

I had the dis-pleasure of catching the main 6.30 show, it still dreadful, poor, lacking any life.

Even the change to 1 person has not helped.

Just caught a glimpse of the Scottish Weather on Reporting Scotland online, which was presented by Judith Ralston. Isn't she the same lady who presented the early morning news as well during Breakfast? Is she primarily a news presenter or weather presenter?

I vaguely recall a clip of her being caught unawares due to an early handover from London and she barely made it on-air!

She also reads the Traffic & Travel reports on BBC Radio Scotland!!
